24 November 2011 - East Staffs Borough Council Launched their Exemplar Property - The Safe Sustainable Eco Home in Burton on Trent today.  During the address by Dr Zoë Robinson, Senior Lecturer of Ecology and Sustainability at Keele University, Tutbury EcoPower was held up as an exemplar community group that were seeking to change attitudes about sustainability in the community   
TEP Chairman Steve Rhodesand fellow director, Phil Norris attended this event, at which the new house at 369 Anglesey Road, Burton on Trent, owned by Trent and Dove Housing Association, was leased to East Staffordshire Borough Council to act as a means to educate the community, schools and other organisations on how to save energy.  The house has been renovated using the latest insulation methods for an early 1900’s house along with solar panels and other measures.  This house will be available for 10 months to demonstrate what can be done.   MORE....
11 November 2011  New Award for TEP
At Trent & Dove Housing Association’s Impact On The Community Awards on 11 November 2011, Tutbury EcoPower scooped the Special Environmental Award - Directors Gary Rowe and Phil Norris were there to receive the award at The Pavilion, Branston Golf Club.  During this memorable event, our long-term team member and chairman of the Tutbury Resident’s Association also picked up an individual award as Tenant of The Year...  Well done Malcolm!  For more details, Click here
15 SEPTEMBER 2011 - Tutbury Eco Power wins Environmental Award
At an awards ceremony today, attended by Cllr Liz Staples, Malcolm Wardle and Sue Norris, Heart of England In Bloom awarded Tutbury EcoPower the Environmental Award for 2011.  What is more Tutbury village was awarded the Silver Gilt Award for 2011 (Small Town Category).   “...
